CGST Non-Credit Policy

Graduate credit will not be awarded for non-credit participation in a course/webinar.

1. Individuals who have a bachelor’s degree will be registered with an audit status and may obtain a certification of audited courses/webinars. Individuals without a bachelor’s degree will be registered with an enrichment status; transcripts will not be available due to CHED requirements.

2. CGST offers non-credit course participation as a special service to the Christian community. Non-credit participants are required to pay only the tuition fee of P550/unit (discounted from the regular P650.00/unit), 50% of the comprehensive fee, P200 for the application fee (one-time) plus the actual cost of the materials (photocopies, etc.) and shipping fees. They are not required to do the coursework required for graduate students; likewise, the instructor is not obligated to, and may not, review assignments voluntarily completed by a non-credit participant. To facilitate learning, CGST strongly encourages non-credit participants to complete course reading.

3. Participation in class discussions and out-of-class conferences with the instructor should be kept to a minimum.

4. Individuals who wish to take a non-credit course at CGST must verify qualification for graduate studies either through indicating a baccalaureate degree or ministry involvement. Those who are not graduate-qualified may not be approved for admission or registration.

5. Non-credit registrations are intended to provide foundational learning opportunities. Courses requiring prior learning, intense faculty involvement, or significant school resources are not intended for non-credit participants. These include, but are not limited to, Greek and Hebrew classes, and doctoral courses.

6. In courses where seating is limited, credit students will be granted priority.

7. Individuals may register for no more than two non-credit courses per semester, and only those that are designated as available for audit on the official class schedule.

8. The student auditing cannot change to credit once the class has begun.

9. The non-credit participant may not claim to be a student of CGST or any of its degree programs unless he/she has also completed classes for credit at CGST.

10. Non-credit enrolment in classes at CGST may not be used as a professional qualification or credential for the purpose of application to any school, college, university or seminary or for the purpose of employment applications or promotions with a potential or current employer.

Non-credit Admission Standard

1. Must be a born-again Christian

2. Must hold sound biblical doctrinal beliefs as determined by the Dean of CGST

3. Must be an active member/leader in his/her local church
