Ph.D. Enrollment and Cost Information

Since 2011, CGST has had “Open Enrollment” for the Ph.D. classes.  Qualified students may enroll and test their academic skills and commitment to biblical and theological excellence.

New Ph.D. students are admitted on  provisional status.  CGST will evaluate their academic ability, English proficiency, their integrity, their potential as a theological leader, and their motivation to study at the doctoral level.

Ph.D. students enroll in the same subjects and quickly form will a cohort, building up one another.

The Ph.D. Program at CGST

• Uses a blend of class formats, depending upon faculty and student availability. Modular classes on BTC’s campus meet daily for one or two weeks. Non-residents of Metro Cebu can commute to Cebu for their classes and stay in ministry in their church or college or Christian organization. Semester-long classes meet once every week for an entire semester.

• Affordable cost. Tuition is PHP 1,000 per unit. No add-on dissertation advisor fees.  Each modular subject will cost about P3000 for tuition and fees.

• International faculty; caring men and women with ministry experience and highly-recognized degrees.

• Contextually relevant to the Philippines and the SE Asian setting. The Ph.D. degree (like all the other BTC/CGST programs) is recognized by CHED.

•  Excellent research tools are available in the BTC/CGST library. During dissertation research, the student may plan study in Manila or abroad (the USA or Singapore) in a partner seminary.
